Unspectacular, every day and mostly overlooked scenarios form the motif of my painting. These are situations that change or disappear in a matter of seconds, which I try to capture and hold – a kind of “fixation” of the snapshot, which is only possible with quick sketching or watercolour painting – sometimes the basis for later implementations in acrylic. Some things remain vague, fuzzy and unfinished, like the experienced scenarios that come and go.
